What country has better weapons right now?

Better weapons are not determined on who manufactor them.  It is determined on the operability of the weapon.  It is the person behind the sights that will distinguishes it as such.  There are very few US weapons that our troops use that are American-made, such as the Browning M2 .50 cal and Colt.  The rest are made from Belgium, Germany, UK, Israel, etc.

Keep in mind, it's not the weapon that counts, it's the soldier that is using it that does.

Historical fact: During Gulf war 1, armed forces from europe were so far behind the US tech wise that it was

easier to have them stand aside, with the sole exception being aircraft.

That was 17 years ago, i doubt if they put much into modernizing since.
