What country has desert as a starter?

There is a country that would have like a proper desert to start like ice cream or cake not fruit. Someone out there must know come guys help me out ;)

i heard there are some countries in europe like france and italy that would start up their meal with a slice of melon and jambon during summer

Lots of  places start with things like melon boats, which could also be a desert.

Fruit cocktails can be served as starters too!  I am not sure that there is a specific country.  I would be interested to know.
