What country has the best chance to beat the USA men's team this upcoming OLYMPICS?

I would say no one will end up beating this team with all the superstars in the line-up and hungry for a gold medal... however like you mentioned I think the biggest challenge will come from spain since they have more experience and carry lots of NBA players in their roster. The spanish team has Calderon and Juan carlos navarro in the backcourt with Pau Gasol and his brother playing in the front which gives them a big advantage over other international teams... and since they won the FIBA title last time they can be dangerous even though USA will probably get by them without much trouble.

The second team I'd have to say is Argentina who has Ginobili + Luis scola that are big contributions and can make some noise in the olympics. Greece and China are also other teams that can present some toughness... Greece always has physical players and the China team has Yao + Yi Jianlian who will create some hype back in their home country...!

These would be my predictions for the Olympics...

1 - USA (Gold)

2 - Spain (Silver)

3 - Argentina (Bronze)

Ordinarily i would pick argentina, but with the injury to manu ginobili i have to pick spain. if you look at the spanish roster they have a pretty good team. Jose Calderon, Juan Carlos Navarro, Jose Garbajosa, and not to mention the Gasol brothers. All pretty good NBA players. One word---solid.

I think USA will have no problems steamrolling their way to gold, however, their biggest threats are probably: Spain, Argentina and China (a very scary team indeed, dangerously efficient).

I'd say Spain...their 3 point shooting could give us some problems...
