  1. New Zealand. It has mountains right next to the ocean. Its a beautiful place. Can't forget Lord of the Rings and Flight of the Concords.

  2. Better in what way ?

Politics, scenery, standard of living, quality of life, transport, night life, uni's, costs, television programming, taxes, hmmm?

You know the phrase comparing apples to oranges?

Well you're asking us to compare apples to oranges to grapes to pears.

Each country has some great qualities and each excels in different ways~~

If you were a bit more specific, it would be easier to answer

    =)

    (BTW,

isn't Ireland part of the UK?)

  3. New Zealand, very peaceful

  4. The UK is really miserable, always cold and rainy. In my opinion Australia is the best. Great beaches, awesome people and it's really safe.

  5. Well my daughter would say Ireland. She lived there for as long as she was allowed and would have given anything to be able to stay there permanently. But that's just her opionion.

She also loved San Francisco - people were SO friendly.

Personally - not having been to UK or Ireland, I would say Australia. I have heard though that Ireland has the best economy but Australia would be hard to beat.

Don't know how it will go now that it has a labour government.

  6. New Zealand because the people are generally nice and we have a great climate and good beaches. We have fantastic cities and great scenery

  7. well of course when you put this question here in NZ section most people will probably answer NZ because people like to think their own country is the best

  8. I live in Ireland and I've never lived in or extensively visited the other countries, but from what I read and heard from friends and co-worker, I'd say New Zealand is the best place. The weather is better than UK and Ireland and there are a "real" winter and a "real" summer  (unlike Australia where it's always warm). You can ski and go to the beach on the same day! The landscape too is beautiful (but that's true for all the 4 countries). If you're looking for a job, they pay well in UK and Ireland but it's getting more and more difficult to find a good job and cost of living is higher than NZ. NZ and Australia, especially NZ, have shortage of skilled worker so if you are in the right age span you can get a visa and a job pretty easily. And house prices are still reasonable. People are very nice in Ireland, but in Australia and NZ they are nice and very laid back and easy going...

  9. I have been to Australia and New Zealand.  I am going to Ireland.  So far New Zealand is winning!!  I went to the south island it is AMAZING!  If you are looking for natural beauty this is the place to go.  It has Queensland (adrenaline capital of the world) It is also where the Lord of the Rings was filmed. (you probably already knew that)  Milford Sound is up the west coast a ways and many refer to it as the 8th wonder of the world.  There are hundreds of waterfalls everywhere.  Also there are 2 glaciers up the coast a little ways more.  That is something you can't see forever.  Australia was cool it has deserts, rainforests and the Great Barrier reef.  Going on a trip? Don't skip one.  If your over there make sure you see them both.  Best advice I've ever received, travel agent said to check out Fiji while over there.  They have private islands you can stay on.  Looking forward to Ireland, but don't know if it can compete, don't know much about the uk.  Good luck!

  10. Im  from scotland and although you dont always get good weather the place is great the people best shops in the world even better than London Glasgow is full of history. Edinburgh is okay and the highland is amazing for scenery food really good I stay in usa now but miss home been all over the world and nothing like the friendly scottish people. good luck

  11. Depends on what you want out of each country.

I can only comment on Australia and New Zealand.

Australia is beautiful, pays better and has greater job opportunities.  The people generally have awesome attitudes including a Prime Minister who will take responsibility for past mistakes by saying "sorry". Well done that man!

New Zealand is also very beautiful, has great inventors, film makers and some great individual sports men and women.

We also had a great man who took a stand against nuclear weapons which, so far, has kept our country nuclear free.

    Well done that man!

  12. New Zealand is the most beautiful, especially the south island.

I cant comment on Australia because I come from there and that wold be bias.

The UK is awesome, except for the growing ethnicity. I'd rather live there than the US any day. I dont know alot about ireland.

By the way, to the person above me, no Ireland isn't part of the UK, only northern Ireland is.

  13. I couldn't say one is better than the other as they all have there good and bad points . Lows and Highs.  I haven't ever lived in Ireland so can't comment on that but have lived in England New Zealand and Australia.  Australia is where I have chosen and probably for ever as it suits me just fine. I love the weather here. England I spent 12 years in the Eden Valley next to the lake District and it was beautiful. A super place to educate my children. I'm so pleased I had that time there. NewZealand I was born there and went to school there. Had a great childhood . I didn't know very much about the rest of the world before I left but occassionally I go back for a holiday and if you get good weather the country has some spectacular scenery and the people are friendly. Job opportunities are still good in Australia. and wages are good . Food prices are rising with the price of petrol but I really love the beaches here on The GoldCoast. So I have no regrets with living in those 3 countries and feel really lucky I can now live in Australia.

  14. New Zealand for its beautiful scenery mountains, beachs, coastline, forests and quaint towns and bustling cities. New Zealand also has really friendly people and has a special feeling about it ..

Just the other day a american tourist off a cruise ship lost his hat the wind at the harbour and in landed in the sea .. a local jogger asked the tourist if they wanted it and dove into the sea to get it ..

Although I have much love for our neighbours Australia great weather but it gets too hot in summer (e.g melbourne tennis grand slam got to over 40 degrees celcius .. also the snakes ect..

Ireland is also magical .. but i guess im biased but I love New Zealand
