It actually used to be 3 cities, Buda,Pest and O'"Buda.

Budapest is actually one city which used to be two. Buda is on one side of the river and Pescht is on the other side of the city. Now, they are simply referred to as Budapest and it is in the country of Hungary.

Budapest is the capital of Hungary, which is a member of the European Union. A very beautiful city by the way. Budapest is divided by the river Danube, in English the one part of the city is called Buda and the other Pest (sorry don´t know the Hungarian spelling), but Budapest is well worth a visit. Hungary is a very interesting country!
