  1. There is no "cheap" or "easy" when it comes to adoption.  I think you can get away the best off in the USA.  $17000 is probably the lowest...I know there are facilitators that charge around $7000 but they also make you pay up front and sign a time limit contract and usually let your contract expire and no children!

We adopted through Family to Family Adoptions Inc. and there was no money lost....

Foster Care is a was to have chilren in your home and there is always the possibility of adoption at a very small cost (less than $3000.)

  2. There are no bargain basement sales or outlet malls for babies. No matter how a child comes into your life, it's going to be expensive. And it's not going to be easy.

  3. Adopting from foreign countries is going to be expensive no matter where you adopt from.  My cousin was adopted from Korea and it cost my aunt and uncle thousands of dollars (of course, she was worth it!)  Also, if you adopt a foreign child, chances are, you'll have to actually go get her.  Which means you'll have plane tickets, food, hotel rooms, and all other travel expenses to deal with.  Having a child, whether naturally born to you or adopted, is nowhere near cheap or easy.  You might want to consider that the adoption, no matter how expensive or difficult, is probably going to be the cheapest and easiest part of having a child.....

  4. international adoptions are easier but not necessarily cheaper

  5. Adopting domestically (in the United States) is cheaper, but not necessarily easier. It costs anywhere from $5,000 to $40,000 to adopt within the United States, depending on what agency you use. However, the downfall with adopting in the US is the wait time for babies is much longer, and you run a greater risk of the birthmom changing their mind. Adopting internationally costs around $7,000-$30,000, depending on what agency you use. The downfalls to adopting internationally though are the health issues sometimes associated with the baby, and the cost is much higher.

Bottom line is do some research on the pros and cons of adopting within the United States vs. from a foreign country, and remember its not just about cost!

  6. look on ebay,or garage sales

  7. it shouldn't matter how much it costs if you really want to adopt. Your not just 'buying a kid'. Adoption takes time and should not be rushed into unless your sure.
