  1. I am pretty sure italy.

  2. Italy...italia was (or rome...ancient rome) was established in B.C.....Mexico wasn't established until the 1800s.

  3. The currently used italian flag was first adopted in 1948. Mexico's surrent flag was in 1968.

By the way Italy has been a country LOOOOOOOONG before Mexico because Mexico kept getting conquered by a bunch of different countries before they had their revolution.

  4. Italy was technically a country first but the ancient axtecs lived in mexico first but it was not claimed as mexico.

You can type it in a search engine and you should be able to come up with a more detailed answer.

  5. The flags have the same colors, but are different.

  6. I think Italy was first because one of the oldest civilizations is that of Roma

  7. Mexico declared independence from Spain in 1810 and got it 1821.

    Italy was unified in 1861.

  8. Technically Mexico was the first one to be a country. As Mexico declared independence in 1810 and the Italian states only became united in 1861 (sometimes 1848 is considered the unification). They both used very similar flags for much of their history. But, according to my sources the Italian flag (the modern one) looks very similar to some Italian flags of the 18th century. On the other hand the Mexican flag had only existed since 1810. There for the Italian flag "came first".

Edit after reading the previous posts.

EVERYONE ABOVE IS WRONG. MEXICO WAS A COUNTRY FIRST. ITALY WAS A BUNCH OF CITY STATES UNTIL 1861. MEXICO BECAME A COUNTRY IN 1810!

Although I still remain with the Italian flag coming first.

  9. It's a very good question. The colors are similar, but are not the same. The answer from Paulk above is very good, however my guess is the Mexican flag came first, if you think of the stripes, since the italian green white and red stripes flag was established in 1848 and the Mexican flag was established in 1821. See for your self in Wikipedia. They look alike but are not the same, and worth to mention is that the colors of the Mexican flag have a meaning of their own: Green for independence, white for catholicism and red for union.

  10. Please tell me you aren't serious.
