  1. France!

    Speed

    Safety

    Popularity

  2. Switzerland. Trains always run to time, through the most difficult terrain. There is a mix of publicly owned and privately owned lines which operate in harmony. Other forms of public transport, like buses, lake steamers etc. are integrated with the trains. Despite being a rich country with a high car ownership (519 per 1000 in 2004 - 12th highest in the world ahead of the UK with 506 per 1000), there have been no massive closures of lines and all parts of the country are adequately served.

  3. japan. in major japanese cities, only about half the people own cars, and even if you do, you still mostly take trains, as this is faster and easier.

  4. Japan

  5. France. CA is looking at their high speed railway to use as a model.  The train is TGV- France's renowned high-speed train. Links most major French cities to Paris. Some routes link to Switzerland and Brussels.

  6. Most western european countries have phenomenal rail systems....

The pros are the same as for any type of transportation... low cost fare, fast, efficient....

  7. Your avitar looks g*y... a good rail model country would be england or anywhere in europe.
