    it was originally known as the constabulary of Wellingborrow est. the 6th day of November 1668 which included Beverly Delanco Edgewater , Wellingborrow  name came from Wellingborough , England it then became known as Levitt town after the builder of Abraham Levitt [ and according to the Willingboro Police Dept. it became known as Sheetrock city because they had a shootout that as a result ammo tore through several homes ] then it became known as Willingboro Township  

    some famous residents that come to mind are Carl Lewis whom lived in Twin Hills Park with his mother and father

    and Benjamin Franklin's son William Franklin whom lived on the top of the hill at the NW corner of Beverly Rancocas Rd.and John Fitzgerald Kennedy Blvd. across the street from the WaWa or up the street from Geatano's cheese steaks .
