  1. Contact your local university.  Every school will have its own requirements for Elementary Education.  Besides getting your degree, you may also have to earn a license to teach in a particular district.  You would contact your local BOE or DOE to determine the requirements for this.  Some requires you to take an exam, such as the Praxis.
