What course would i need to take in order to become an optician?

At the moment i'm studying english at university.. but if i wanted to become an optician, what would i have to do?

It depends on what country, State  or province you are in.

In the UK, they call an optometrist an optician.

In the US and Canada, the requirements vary from state to state, and province to province.
