  1. Depending on where you are, what you first want to do is look at the requirements of University/college you want to attend to become a dentist. They might have certain requirements for admission like biology or chemistry. Another place to look would be your provincial regulatory body (if you are in Canada, or whatever the regulatory bodies are called in your country) to see what they say (eg. http://www.rcdso.org/ .. they are called "colleges", but are not ones in the school sense).

ETA: someone else mentioned business and that is a big YES! Lots of health care professionals forget that health care IS a business and they don't know how to run a practice.

  2. biology and business.  You'll more than likely own your practice.

  3. Health classes, Anatomy and Physiology- so that you will know the structure of the mouth, teeth, and how they work.

  4. It will help to have a strong foundation in biology and mathematics as you prepare to go off to college if you plan to enter a predental program. Other than that, at this point the exact courses you take aren't the most important thing. Make sure that you've completed the courses that the colleges and universities you're looking at require; most want several years of science, mathematics, English, and other things. On the whole, you don't need to worry all that much about preparing for your career by taking specific courses while still in high school. You do want to make sure to do research on schools you're considering applying to; it's possible to go to dental school from most any institution, but some (mostly larger schools) will have special programs.

  5. The courses that are required to get in your college of choice

  6. Chemistry, Biology and Math are requirements.
