What courses would I have to take to become a fashion designer?

hey, I would love to be a fashion designer when im older, at school I already do art and ICT for GCSE (and all the rest) any ideas where i go afterwards, or what topics would be best for A level?

  1. textiles and depending if you want to go to college they have courses for a career that will suit you. Just have a look at some college websites n stuff.


  2. Do Art for A levels, plus business studies. Then apply for art foundation course at one of the newer universities, e.g. Brighton, Manchester Metropolitan, etc. After you finished that, apply to same or different university to study fashion and design at degree level.

  3. hi well at the moment I'm going up to college to do textiles and art and design as i want to do something in fashion then i will go to uni to do a fashion course and something else. I think this would be a good start as textiles is a important aspect in the fashion industry and so is art. Or you could do a photography course this could also get you some where in the fashion industry.
