What coverage should I put on my cars?

Deductible and everything. I'm not sure if we're over doing it.

We have a '98 chevy truck that's worth about $5000

We also have an '07 toyota matrix that's worth over $16K.

What coverage (including deductibles) should I put on it and for how much?

  1. you need full converage on the toyota!!! Banks usually require it plus, you don't want to lose 16K if a tree fell on your car! go with geico, they have the best rates (but still shop around!)

  2. no one can give you an honest rate because insurance companies will usually end up running your social but you can get quotes and compare them to get the best price at http://www.COMPAREusINSURANCE.com

  3. If you live in CA and you say the trucks worth 5k, then you should have regular collision coverage on it.  In today's times you need to protect your assets.  Everyone has gone greedy & money hungry.  Best policy to have, if you own a home:

    Bodily Injury              1,000,000/1,000,000

    Property Damage    100,000

    Medical                     25,000

    Comprehensive       250 deductible

    Collision                    250 deductible

    rental                          45 per day

    Uninsured                  100,000/300,000

    Underinsured

seems like a lot, yet I would hate to lose my home over a greedy person that hires an attorney
