What craft ideas can i do with embroidery thread (except embroirdery)?

I have been making friendship bracelets but there is only so many of them you can make.......looking for similar ideas using the same technique, have loads of embroidery thread to use up!

Dorset buttons! You do it on cutain rings but I have done them on bracelets and make christmas ornaments from the basic design. You may have to google it for basic instructions.  I found a site that does kits - see below
