I can sew, needlepoint, crochet, knit.

I moved to a new area and am thinking about setting up a craft shop in my home for the christmas season. Looking for things I could make to sell in it.

  2. I do really well with making herbal rice bags.  You know, the kind you can microwave for a heating pad?  Use 100% cotton fibers to make sure it's safe in the microwave.  Many synthetic fibers contain petroleum by-products that can be flammable.

  3. My sister and her friend had a craft table last Christmas at the local craft fair. My sister made stockings. She would check out the remnants at the fabric store on a regular basic. She made them out of satin and velvet fabrics. It wasn't too costly for her because she would buy small pieces of the fabric a little bit at a time. She had all different sizes and colors of stockings. She sold about 3/4 of the stockings. Her friend sold out completely. She made baby blankets out of super soft and comfy fabrics. The key to her success was the super soft fabric she used. People were feeling the fabric and would instantly buy the blankets.

  4. Anything for babies or kids usually do well. I tried selling doilies but they don't sell because you can get them for a dollar at the dollar store. Christmas decorations that are different do well. Good luck!
