  1. Child molestation, and now he is back in the form of Michale jackson.

  2. Jesus was charged with blasphemy, because he said he was the Son of Man.  Matthew 26:64-Jesus saith unto him "Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you. "Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man "sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. The high priest accused Jesus of blasphemy, Matthew 26:65-then the high priest rent (ripped, tore) his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy: what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.Matthew 27:1 Then all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death.-- Jesus and a man named -Barabbas were both prisoners and the council met with the govenor named Pilate to persuade him to crucify Jesus and let Barabbas go free.  Matthew 27:20- But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas and destroy Jesus. Pilate saith unto them, What shall I do then with Jesus which is called Christ? They all say unto him, Let him be crucified.Matthew 27:26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.Pilate sentenced Jesus to death.

  3. well im not religeous in anyway but i go to a catholic school and took bible lit last year, and also watched passion of the christ at the end of the year so i know a little

    1. he was accused of blasphemy, for saying he was the son of god. and he also healed and preformed miracles on the sabath day which was a sin

    2. he was accused by the sanhedrin, which is a high counsel of jewish leaders.

    3. he was sentenced by pontious pilate (spelling) who he himself didnt want to because his wife came to him earlier and told him she strongly felt like the was the true son of god, but the people were outraged so Pilate sentenced jesus to be tortured but not killed, but the romans got out of hand and ended up crucifying him after being tortured with 2 other men...story get long and detailed but thats the basics hope this helps

  4. Actually, Jesus was sentenced to death for sedition against the Roman occupants.

Reports in the gospels notwithstanding, if he'd been found guilty of crimes against Jewish law, and in particular of blasphemy or falsely claiming to be the Messiah, the Sanhedrin would have had full authority to have him lapidated, as the persecutions by Jews against early christians show sufficiently.

  5. Mathew 26:63

Then the high priest said to Him (Jesus) "Swear by the living God, and tell us, are You the promised Savior (Messiah), the Son of God?"

"I am" Jesus answered him. "But I tell you, from now on you will all see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power and coming on the clouds of heaven" [Jesus quoted from Daniel 7; 13-14] Then the high priest tore his clothes and said, "He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses?

    Daniel 7:13-14

In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.

He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed

Caiaphas definitely thought that the Son of Man mentioned in Daniel 7:13 is equal to God. When Caiaphas read Daniel 7:13 he should have been aware of the fact that there were two Divine Beings (Son of Man and the Ancient of Days) mentioned there who is worthy of worship. You can also tell this by his behavior during the trial. When Jesus answered him that He is the promised Jewish Messiah, he didn’t seem to have a problem with it. But the minute Jesus quoted Dan 7:13 he became furious and tore his clothes.

  6. Jesus was accused of blasphemy because he said that he was the Son of God.

Jesus was accused of many crimes that were false but this Jesus spoke with truth himself.

  7. it was either blasphemy or sedition,  im not sure who accused him  he was tried by the religious council, the Sanhedrin.  and Piliate sentenced him to death

  8. Jesus  is belong to a Jewish group  called Zionist. The crime  he commited is rebellion againts the government that time. He was sentenced by Pontius Pilate. Crucified  till death.Amen.

  9. The Romans were the only people in power at that time that could sentence J. C. to death.  The local Jewish leaders didn't  have that power.  The heads of the Jewish community wanted him dead and charged him with blasphemy, but that couldn't get him the death penalty.  The ROMANS didn't care a whit if J.C. thought that he was "the son of god" or not, but they had to act on the crowd's possible rioting, so they charged him for treason becasue of the "King of the Jews" claim which would be in violation of not seeing the Roman appointed "Puppet King" Harrod as true King of the Jews.  Short answer. The Romans did it for a charge of treason.

  10. Jesus was accused of teaching false things to people (he was just preaching the word of God). Romans (who believed kings wer gods) and a few bad Jews accused him and sentenced him to death. He was crusified. if u r not sure check out : www.lifeofchrist.com for more detailed nd correct info.

                                                             Take care

    P.S. i am not christian.

  11. The Jewish Pharisees plotted to convince The Roman Constabulary that Jesus was guilty of "Treason & Sedition" because Jesus was building up a "powerful following" that the Pharisees were convinced threatened their power base, so they convinced Pontius Pilate that Jesus was calling himself "King of Israel," which would also threaten the Roman Power Base...

So Pontius Pilate ended up sentencing him to torture and death in a deal he made with the Pharisees...essentially, if he would agree to sentence Jesus to death, the Pharisees would agree to "quell" any Jewish Uprising Riots that were threatening to cause chaos for The Roman Constabulary...The Romans wanted domestic peace, and the Pharisees wanted Jesus dead, so they made a "Faustian Bargain" by getting Jesus executed on a "trumped up charge" of Treason & Sedition...

  12. Crucifixion was an exclusive Roman punishment. Administered on convicted pirates, run away slaves or those that rose against Rome.

Unlike you read in the bible, victims were naked and left rotting on the cross. Under Roman guard. (Not local militia.) That cross was usually slightly longer and wider than the victim. Victims lasted a good deal longer than 3 hours. Usually 3 days up to a week. Remember that a crucifixion was the most humiliating (and painful) way to go.

Roman governors did not yield to the public. Certainly not a man like Pilate. Nor was there a custom to release a dangerous criminal. not in Jewish law and not in Roman law.

Local authorities were perfectly able to condemn to death. The sentence on blasphemy was death by stoning. Not by crucifixion. Which the Sanhedrin later sentenced the first martyr, Stephan to.

So, Jesus must have been  convicted for crimes against the state.

  13. Accused of going against Roman law at the time by spreading the word of God in unacceptable places, saying he was the son of God.
