Is there a basis or something that would help us decide in choosing a charitable foundation that is suitable in executing an outreach program to? Or any specific names of these foundations? Urgent....

I would go where your heart takes you.  There are many wonderful programs out there, you have to choose what you are most interested in doing.  Check out your local United Way and see some of the programs they support to give you some idea of what is out there.  Best of luck to you!

Try charitynavigator.org  They rate many charities  in regard to how the money is spent, how well they work, how much they actually accomplish etc.  Great way to see where the money goes.
