  1. I've been on Cunard's QM2 Mediterranean cruise... absolutely incredible.  I was with my family and am in my 20s... There were a lot of older people on the cruise, so keep that in mind for this cruise line.

  2. Without knowing more about how you like to travel and what price point you're shooting for, that's a very difficult question to answer.  There isn't a "one size" fits all line, in addition not all lines go to all ports.

However, Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, and Princess have very good programs in the Med.

Cunard, Oceania, Silversea, and Crystal are also terrific options but these are "luxury" lines and you will pay a premium for them.  Cunard will probably be the cheapest of this bunch.

Costa and MSC are also decent lines but they attract a more European crowd.  While not bad, Europeans travel differently than Americans, so you may experience a little culture shock.

I would recommend calling a travel agent that specializes in cruising and talking with them.  By getting an idea of just what you're looking for from your cruise they can help you narrow down your choices a bit.

  3. I really liked Princess personally, but it depends on what you're looking for and what you consider 'best'.

Carnival has some good ships, geared more for a younger crowd and rowdy sort of passengers.

I saw a special on the travel channel about the "adventure of the seas" ship on the Royal Caribbean Line...looked like an awesome ship.
