I was on cruisecritic.com and saw a picture yesterday of a ship that had beds on the side of the ship where you could lay out and in the bed and watch the water or the sunset etc. I also saw a cruise ship that was talking about back to school for kids and a little private area for two people facing the water. If you have been on any of these ships, please tell me which ones it was.

  1. sounds like you are speaking of balcony cabins.

talk to a travel agent who deals with cruises.

    best wishes.

    good luck.

  2. Check with your travel agent!

  3. I have no idea - maybe the best place to ask this question is on the message board on Cruise Critic.  You could also try cruise-chat.com.  They have alot of information on their message boards.

  4. They are called balcony suites and are fitted with full height sliding patio doors.  The picture was probably carefully taken so you don't think there are any glass doors there!

Cheaper outside cabins with a balcony give the same effect but the seating area is much smaller which is probably what your 2nd comment is about.

Travelled in both types. Most bigger cruise ships not more than about 15 years old have both types.  Travelled on an NCL ship where we also had a jacuzzi on the external balcony seating area!

  5. I think they all do.
