  1. Well, if you're looking for low deflection, the Predator Z2 produces the least, and it's not really even close. However, cue ball deflection is not the ultimate rating of a shaft's performance. The shaft and cue that works best for your game is a function of how the cue's characteristics match up with your playing style and what you're comfortable with. I personally switched from a low deflection shaft to a cue with what might be considered a fairly high deflection custom cue and I'm playing better now. It's not because the low deflection shaft was bad, but that it did not work as well with my playing style as a high quality, traditional shaft.

Anyway, my point is that you really must try different shafts and cues out to see what's right for you. Most aftermarket shafts are good quality, so that's not really even an issue. But there's a big difference between finding a quality shaft and the right shaft for you.

  2. The "best" shaft is of course, a matter of preference for your style of play. Do you want a finesse shaft? A solid shaft? There are dozens of well-made shafts. I suggest that you get some information on the construction of the shaft in combination with the type of shaft YOU prefer. They carry every brand of cue shaft that you have asked about ---and then some!
