What culture did pasa doble come from?

did it come from the latin culture or did it come from the roman culture or any other

i think it came from rome but just to be sure... :-)

  1. Paso doble isn't that old a dance. You'll get arguments about whether its origins are in Spain or in southern France, but the idea of it is that of the modern Spanish bullfight, with the man as the matador and the woman as his cape. It's the one dance of the ten major ballroom dances in which the man is, to a degree, featured; in the others, his primary job is to make the lady look good, or (as the saying goes), the lady is the picture, the man is the frame.
