I have long, thin, flat, naturally straight hair and I'm looking to buy a curling iron that I can use to make soft curls, waves, etc with. Also, what products should I use to make the curls last all day? My hair can barely hold any curls at all so it needs to work really well. What techniques really work?

  1. A TONNE of hairspray, and even then, curls rarely last all day!

  2. I had that same issue and what I did was started using a straight iron and if you get a small one you just move it through your hair in the direction that you want it to curl and flow. Also, a larger curling iron is better to use along with it to make sure you get the desired look you are after. Kenra has something called thermal styling spray, you can spray on that helps hold the curl and also it is keeping your hair healthy. Then to finish it off use the Kenra 26 platinum hair spray.

  3. how about this: http://www.target.com/Head-Professional-...

and for hairspray- http://www.cvs.com/CVSApp/catalog/shop_p... combined these and you will have beautiful hair! GOOD LUCK!

  4. cricket makes a very good decent priced curling iron an i just use hair spray for the all day thing. and maybe get layers in your hair to not make it so heavy

  5. I think that all curlers are basically the same, despite the name brands. With that said, the most expensive may not even be the best. However, you should probably get one where you can adjust the temperature (the higher the better).

I personally don't like to use curlers. Rollers are way better. After washing your hair, you apply leave in conditioner or just conditioner to the damp hair. Then you put the rollers into you hair and leave it like that overnight to dry. Then in the morning, you take out the rollers.

Depending on how the curls looks then, you can blow dry it out, to make it less curly or w/e. You should blow dry your hair upside down (blow at the roots) to create a more volumized look.

And I guess some hair products you can try are some for curls from th john freida collection or tresemme.

  6. Hair rollers or a hot curler.

  7. use rollers
