hi.!

just wondering what currency is used in india coz some friends of mine are going other there soon and i was going to give them some money so they can get me some authenic jewelery and such.

so i was wondering how much would $20 australian dollars amount to in india.

i was hoping that they could get my some some prayer beads and printing blocks.

-n e idea how much they would be.?

and also are they hard to get through customs.?

  1. The Indian Currency is the rupee.  You would have to check the exchange rate, but from memory, a thousand rupee is only a couple of dollars.

  4. It's not tough at all to get prayer beads through the customs at all, for instance, no one knows the difference between prayer beads and an ordinary beaded chain even in India.It does not have to be declared at all.

    They are available at all religious areas.The currency is the rupee.You can get beads for as cheap as 20rs to 500rs.it all depends on what kinda beads you are looking to buy.
