I was looing at the Cardinals box score and saw Ron Villone played for 11 different teams so far in his active career, could he be the leader?

    julio franco retired last year but had played for 10 different teams, and kenny lofton was on 11 teams before he retired

I'm not sure about the current player, but I think the overall record belongs to pitcher Mike Morgan... his career spanned from 1978-2002 and in that time he played for: Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, Seattle Mariners, Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, St Louis Cardinals, Cincinatti Reds, Minnesota Twins, Texas Rangers and Arizona Diamondbacks. I make that 12! To the best of my knowledge, nobody else has played for more than that...
