What cut of steak is used in a philly cheese steak?

my dad wants me to make one for him but i don't know what cut i should use. does anyone know?

  3. The classic cut of steak is the ribeye steak. Restaurants in Philly use ribeye because it is the juiciest, most flavorful cut. It has this rich flavor due to its high fat content. (Try to buy a well marbled steak-meaning the white fat and meat are "mixed in"). This is in contrast to a Fillet Migneon, which is very lean (very little fat), but very little flavor.
