What d I need to do to use the apps with my iPod Touch? I have the 1.1.5 update.?

I have the 1.1.5 update for my iPod Touch. I downloaded a free app just to see how it works. When I sync my iTouch, I don't see the "Apps" icon on my iPod. What else do I have to download to use the apps? The 2.0 software update for $9.95?

Sorry but you need the 2.0 update or later for official apps. You can however jailbreak with iLiberty and download home brew apps for free from installer. Most of them are worse quality, but also free. You could also do wat the above poster recommends and find the 2.0 firmware for free on the internet

You need the 2.0 firmware which costs 10 dolalrs

but ahem ahem youtube "itouch 2.0 firmware" and look for a link in some of the vids where can download it for free then once u download plug inur ipod and in itunes in ur ipods tab hold shift then hit restore and find the 2.0 firmware u saved and then ull be on 2.0
