Ok I have been taking a dance class that is called the Push but I can't seem to find ANY information on a dance actually called the push.

It has moves called the fishtail, and jelly roll and is a relatively stationary dance with 6 counts and there is a " push"off of my partners left hand on three in the basic form. I heard it is similar to the west coast swing, but its not quite what we are doing.....

Any one know the real name of the dance....

I'm in Ft. Worth Texas if that even makes a difference....

It isn't the tush push, its a couples dance....

  1. I'm sorry, but I've never heard of a dance like that, and I teach Latin and Ballroom.  It does sound the West Coast, but sorrz don;t recognize it!

  2. If it's what I think you're talking about, it is indeed a variant of WCS (but more compact) mildly popular back in the 70's, but it's been pretty well a dead duck since then. Sorry, I can't help you past that.
