What date did google maps do their maps?

I know they took them sometime in december of last year but I can't figure out the exact date. I am talking about the maps where you can actually see houses from the road which is really cool and kinda creepy at the same time.

Different parks of the country would have been taken at different times since it takes quite a while to do all these satellite photos. The ones in my area where probably updated late Spring of 2007. Sorta of an interesting puzzle to try to figure out when you local area was done.

I heard they did a series of maps recently on google and some of the maps were too specific so they had to delete some of them.

No i think maps on google is a really good thing.

they don't take the pictures, they use old satellite images, some dating back a long time ago, so if you are looking for your house when you lived in it, chances are you won't find it.
