What decade do you think had the best, most influential, most moving music?

40's to the 60's .

and then then the 70's and 80's started with all their RNB and ROCK and CLASSIC ROCK.

90's music not sure.

and it's hard to find music today that don't talk about s*x, girls, and what not.

I think some of the music in our generation is also moving...

I like the song "What about now" by Daughtry of "Superwoman" by Alicia Keys... The songs talk about what is happening in our world today and we can make a change!

I would have to go with the 60s as far as moving and influential music...in today's world there are a few who are reminiscent of that era...as far as meaning behind music it would be u2(very politically driven with a good message behind it.)

dont know about moving but best music over all defenitly the 60's and 70's cause all my fave bands like the beatle, rolling stones, kinks, music machine, queen, areosmith, leadzepplin, pink floyd the list goes on oh and freddy and the dreamers now were ******* stuck with jonas brother and fall out boy c**p. i mean come on were has rock and roll gone its turned into bubble gum pop.i have to admit there are pretty great bands today also  cause  i will never diss vampire weekend or wolf mother . or even joe lean and the jjj's man i love music.
