  1. that is not true! the male always determine the s*x of the babies as they have a x and y chromosones and women only have the x

  2. First of all ovary is an organ not a type of gametes; it should be the OVUM.

    Anyways, an egg will always be an x chromosome while a sperm can either be an x or a y. Therefore, the deciding factor of the baby's gender lies in the sperm.

    One X & One Y = Male

    Two X = Female

  3. i dont know who told you think that but thats prob. the reason i think teens and pre teens should be giveing each other advice. the sperm and only the sperm decide what the s*x of the baby is....

  4. It has nothing to do with your eggs.  The eggs always carry the X chromosome, then the guy contributes an X OR Y.  XX=girl XY=boy.  It's all up to the sperm.

    Just for fun-- I've heard stuff about X sperm being longer lasting than Y sperm, but Y sperm being stronger than X...which means that you'd be more likely to have a boy if you had s*x right at ovulation, more likely a girl if you had s*x right before ovulation, cuz all the boys would have died off leaving the long lasting girl sperm to win out.   Who knows though...just something I've heard.

  5. Im sorry but Thank you for a good laugh!

    What i think you meant to say is egg or sperm but either way thats not how it is determined.

    Basically the man determines the gender.

  6. No.  The ovaries are the organs from which the eggs are released, and all eggs have an X (female) chromosome.

    It is the sperm that determines the s*x, as some sperm carry an X chromosome and some sperm carry a Y (male) chromosome.

    XX=female

    XY=male

  7. The Sperm! Women's eggs are all X chromosomes and the sperm are either X or Y chromosomes. If an X sperm fertilizes the egg, it'll be a girl, but if it's a Y sperm, you'll have a boy:)
