What defines a supermodel?

Question

Let's assume a woman goes into the Playboy building and tries to be a supermodel.

What must she have? What defines a supermodel?

What facial features are attractive, what facial features aren't?

Does Playboy and other magazines judge harshly?

supermodels are completely different than playboy models.  for one, do you notice many women on the runway with b***s the size of the women in playboy?  nope.  also, unfortunately, there are pretty strict standards for being a supermodel, height and size wise.  i'm 5'2" - i could never be a supermodel.  the reason for this is simple:  the runway clothes are made in pretty much the same size, so a runway or fashion model should be able to fit that size.  

you have to decide what kind of model you want to be and what kind of model you can be, then figure out the industry standards.

Well, look at the supermodel...examin the hip width...chest elevation, even facial features and the like...see for yourself. I do not think anyone could describe it.

Nah um....Basically if it has large b***s and stick thin it is worthy of being a supermodel.

Though that isn't always true either....

Someone with a LOT of self confidence. It's what all supermodels have. Anything else is just a plus.

a supermodel is one who has a pretty face, s**y figure, a good height, and is one who can do anything for publicity....... a supermodel is always eager to go to film line and want to attract everyone.

supermodels are not going to be on playboy...supermodels are the ones who walk for the top runways. a real supermodel must have a big jaw, high cheek bones, has to be tall, super skinny, unique looking, and have good skin. so playboy models arent supermodels they are tramps....no offense

A supermodel is a haute couture catwalk model that regularly appears on the covers of Vogue and similar upscale fashion magazines. A model is someone that gets photo shoots for companies like Abercrombie and Fitch or similar.
