  1. It depends =]

like pro's like to hit low degrees. and some dont.

so yeh its really your choice but if ur handicaps still high

    id rather hit 10.5

like im handicapped 10 and i hit 10 and yeh its pretty gud =]

    x*x

  2. Mid-to-high handicappers especially will find a 10.5 to be a little more forgiving - it will have a slightly higher launch angle and you'll get less roll on landing. The 9 degree will deliver a relatively lower trajectory which might be helpful on windy courses, but it will be less tolerant of bad shots.

Depends on ability and swing, but most people will be better off with a higher lofted driver, i.e the 10.5 deg. As always the best advice is to try them out and see what suits you

  3. 10.5 is the best degree

  4. For starter 10.5

  5. It depends on your golf swing and swing speed.

I use a 10.5 and it seems to work pretty good.

    Have a good one...

  6. If you have a fast swing, go with the 9 degree.  If you are a beginner or have a slower speed, the 10.5 will probably work better for you.

  7. 10.5

It will carry more and the more loft you have the less side spin you can create (i.e big cut or hook).

    I play off 5

  8. It really depends on your swing speed.    9 degree driver is not for everybody.

  9. it depends on two things your skill level and what you want to do with the ball.  if your just beginning and or not very good with the driver get the higher degree(10.5) it is easier to hit.  this is a little in theory since it is only 1.5 degree but it is like the ions a 5 is easier to hit than a 4 and that separates it by about 4 degrees.  also less skilled golfers have trouble getting the driver into the air except when they sky the ball and the more degrees of loft helps you to do that.  as for what you want to do with the ball.  for the 9 degree or less this is if you want more rll out of your drives once the ball hits the ground.  the 10.5 will go higher thus less rollwhen it touches down.  as for distance you might see about a 10 yard difference between a 10.5 and an 8 degree dirver give or take 5 yards.  i play a 10 degreeand hot it about 260 and am a 12 handicapp.     at the end of the day the degree has nothing to do with skill level just preference and what you can and want to do with the ball.  try out a couple of different degree with the same club to find which one works for you.

  10. It's all down to you as a player.

I hit a 10degree the best. I have quite a low shot and that extra degree over a 9 is just what I need.

What I would suggest to you, is go to pro shop with a machine which can monitor your shots.

Try out different drivers with different degrees, and the pro will be able to find you different clubs what will suit your swing speed etc.

It's not just about the degree of the driver because you can have different shafts and golf clubs also have a "kick point" which is down by the bottom on the shaft.

The kick point in club are set differently, and a lower kick point means the golf ball gets in the air earier than a higher kick point.

The pro will know which club will suit your game.

So to answer your question simply...neither is the best but only somebodies opinion on the best.

I thought I would just add aswell that alot more professionals are swaying to the idea of having higher degree loft of golf clubs.

  11. 0 degree is actually the best for distance. Try hitting your putter off the tee box and see how that works.

  12. Depends on your swing speed, swing path, ball, type of shots you like to play.
