In my bag I have driver, 3 wood, 3-pw irons. Should I buy either a 20 degree hybrd or 18 degree? Is the 18 degree hard to hit or is it about the same as the 20? The hybrid is the King cobra pro baffler.

  1. I also use my hybrid to fill the gap between my 3 wood and my 3 iron. I chose the 18° and find it to be quite easy to hit and I really like the distance and control that I get. I would make the same choice again and would recommend the 18° lof to you as well.

  2. I have a 19 and a 22, basically to replace my 5 wood and my 3 and 4 irons.  I am also buying a 25 (basically, Cleveland's 2i, 3i and 4i, halo set.)  I am also looking at a new 3w, 15 degree, either the Burner or the Hybore.  Then my irons would be 5-9, plus wedges.  No 5w, no 3 iron, no 4 iron.

So, far, I love the 19 degree off a tee, I use it now instead of my 3w.  the 22 degree I love off the fairway.  It is a smooth club.  I could never hit my 3 or 4 irons anyway, so no big loss.

  3. 18 and 20 degree are so close that you need to look more at what shaft is going to give you the ball flight and roll you are looking for.  I find that almost all lofts of hybrids are just as easy to hit as the next.

  4. The question is what distance and flight characteristics are you looking for?  A  20 degree is awfully close to the loft of most 3 Irons.......and an 18 degree is similar to most 5 wds.  I have stated before that you should only buy what you...yourself hit best.   then what is it that you are actually looking for distance wise and the ball flight you want.
