  1. well...it depends on how far you can hit each of your clubs.  for a weak guy like yourself u might want to consider a nice solid 7 iron for that kind of distance.

  2. well no one answer will work

I would use my 60 degree if i have clear a hazzard

or a half swing with my 52 or a third of a swing with my pw if i have fairway and lots of green to work with espesially if its windy as this shot will be a low runner or i might even use my 4 hybrid for a very low chip that will roll to the hole you could also use your putter yes your putter

there is no one club for any shot!!!!!!!

  3. My friend's father in law aways uses his Texas wedge (putter) inside 50 yards (and he is really good at it.)

Seriously though, there may be a reason to hit any club in your bag from 50 yards. For most players even a full swing sand wedge will go more than 50 yards so you should use the club your are most comfortable with. I do most pitch shots with my 7 iron unless I have to hit a high shot and then I use my 52 deg wedge. I prefer to "bump and run."

  4. Personally i alternate between a 52 and a 58 it just depends on how much green I have to work with and where the pin is located. Both are great clubs though but it really depends on the situation you are in at the time.

  5. If you want more spin use at least 56 degree. 58 and 60 are really good too.

  6. 56 or 60 depending on your short game.  I can use a pitching wedge from that distance as well.  You have to hit a variety of shots with your wedges.

  7. it depends how good of a golfer you are and how far you can hit it

for some it might be like a nine iron

    some like a 60

some like a half swing 60

  8. It depends on what kind of shot you want to play.  Not every 50-yd shot is the same.    I may use my lob wedge if I have to clear a tree or am gonna fire at the pin and its in a tight spot.  My SW will work if I have a good lie.  I may use my PW if I'm hitting it great that day.   Choking up on my 8-iron and hitting a little knock-down shot into the wind may be in order.     Every shot needs to be evaluated;  no one club will work for every XX-yd shot.

  9. Try using a sand wedge with a full swing, or a pitching wedge with about half a swing.

  10. Since most clubmakers have different degree markings for their wedges, the shot which feels right to you determines the club of choice. If the green is open front, no hazards I might select a 7 or 8 iron and hit a bump and run. If the green is protected by water or a bunker, a half pitching wedge might be the club of choice. If the shot requires a lofted shot to an elevated green with a close pin position the gap wedge or sand wedge might be the proper club. The conditions will determine the selection of the club which doesn't necessarily have to be a wedge.
