  1. You dealt the cards, you played the cards, you're stuck with the cards you dealt yourself.  Life's a beach like that.

  2. If you have your felony conviction explunged,( Ask your Lawyer how to do this) you shouldn't have any problem applying for any job.

  3. You can do what I did.  For 8 years, I had no phone, no cable television, never ate out (okay once a month or less) and put less than 1000 miles on my car/year (rode a bicycle the rest).  I put aside every penny of extra money.  After 8 years I opened my first business.  I now own 6.

  4. Whats this have to do with immigration?

Where do you live? Some states are in need of workers Like Oregon, Montana and Wyoming. They have been to my state offering bonuses for many of us to relocate out west.

The jobs where mostly in the construction area and paid between 12.00- 15.00 an hour which is not to shabby in the current economy. I had a friend that went who had a felony for assault I guess if they chose to over look that they may overlook yours. Only thing is you'll need to be a US Citizen.

  5. How about President of the US?  Sorry you are too young.

  6. dude u can have any job you want exept for maybe govt jobs and banking jobs. i dont know c**p about you but if u have reformed yourself and display that and tell your interviewer what u did as a young person then i dont see why u cant have any job ..we all make mistakes some get caught others . its gonna be tough but u have to earn people trust u probably gonna have to start off at low paying job to establish some sense of credibility probably 2 years then move to another job that pays alittle more...now if you feel u cant wait open up your business.

  7. Well, Ryan.

You could try one of the trades:  Millwrights would be a good start.  The install and repair large mechanical system, like power plants, wind turbines, conveyor systems, etc.  They have a good apprenticeship program.   They require frequent drug testing.

Apprenticeship in check wages could start at $22.53/hour.

IEBW would be another position if your math skills are good.

Operating Engineers -- i.e. equipment operators make excellent money and benefits.

Now all of these jobs will require traveling and a committment.    You will have to work with a wide range of people from very smart college graduates who just like a job that has a clear start and end --- to angry bigoted individuals from various races and locations.  You will have to swallow union politcs which to a reasoning person is often quite hard to do.

You could go to a tech college and seek to become a line mechanic,  repairs electrical wiring for a power company.

We Energies in Milwaukee is often looking for them --- with training a a clean drug test (forever) will get you a good job.
