Question:

What dessert should I make?

I'm having a dinner party tonight and i want some opinions on what dessert would go well with vegetable curry.what would you like if you were the one coming to the dinner?thanks in advance!

  1. Rainbow sherbert - top with whipped cream and fresh raspberries - easy and quick.  


  2. I think all sorts of berries with vanilla ice cream would be good or maybe set up a chocolate fondue table and have different sorts of fruits for people to dip.

  3. with curry my family usually has bread pudding!

    INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)

        * 6 slices day-old bread

        * 2 tablespoons butter, melted

        * 1/2 cup raisins (optional)

        * 4 eggs, beaten

        * 2 cups milk

        * 3/4 cup white sugar

        * 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

        * 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    DIRECTIONS

       1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

       2. Break bread into small pieces into an 8 inch square baking pan. Drizzle melted butter or margarine over bread. If desired, sprinkle with raisins.

       3. In a medium mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Pour over bread, and lightly push down with a fork until bread is covered and soaking up the egg mixture.

       4. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top springs back when lightly tapped.


  4. This is one of my favorite desserts, and would be great with curry:

    LEMON MELTING MOMENTS

    1 pint (2 c) heavy whipping cream

    1/2 c. sugar

    juice of 4 lemons

    grated zest of 2-4 lemons

    2 TB. sweetened, condensed milk

    8-10 fresh whole strawberries

    Beat all ingredients (except berries) in well-chilled bowl until very thick.  Divide among 8-10 parfait glasses and garnish with whole fresh strawberry.  Chill until serving.....

  5. take all the fruits you can get .. put them in a bowl.. take some yogurt and throw it in there .. a little bit of milk and some whip cream.. it's easy and really good..
