What desserts should I make?

Question

I want to make some type of dessert for a housewarming party that I am going to have. I want it to be something different. We are having one of those long Subway sandwiches and chips and dip. What would be something simple yet really yummy to make for dessert? I would like to make a couple things. Oh yeah and nothing with a lot of chocolate! Thanks

Summer fruit trifle

Ingredients:

  

    * 1 (10 inch) prepared angel food cake, cut into 1 inch cubes

    * 1 (32 fluid ounce) container vanilla yogurt

    * 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries

    * 2 cups fresh blueberries, rinsed

Direction:



Cover the bottom of a large bowl with 1/3 of the angel food cake cubes. Generously cover the cake with 1 1/3 cups yogurt. Spread 1 1/3 cups of the strawberry slices and blueberries on top of the yogurt. Repeat twice with the remaining cake cubes, yogurt, and berries. Serve immediately or chill until needed.v

Chinese Dessert - go along with Western Sandwiches. It is unique and very special for housewarming party.

One of the good chinese dessert for housewarming is Lotus seed, gin-go and longan. It means happy and sweet home.

Or else....western style, ice creams as a dessert which everybody loves it.

Perfect Dessert

Banana Split Dessert:

1 box of graham cracker crumbs

1 stick margarine, melted

7 bananas, sliced

2 cups powered sugar

8oz. cream cheese

1 lg. can of crushed pineapple, drained

1 container of heavy cool whip

Crushed pecans

1 jar of stemmed maraschino cherries

Chocolate syrup

Put graham cracker crumbs in a pan; pour melted margarine over crumbs and mix. Then spread crumbs evenly in the pan

and press the crumbs firmly in place.  Next, slice bananas in half then cut lengthwise and arrange over crumbs. Beat powder sugar and cream cheese together. When done spread the mixture over the sliced bananas. Then spread drained pineapples over the cheese mixture.  Cover pineapples with the heavy cool whip and spread evenly. Next, drizzle chocolate syrup over cool whip topping and then sprinkle crushed pecans over the dessert. Last but not least place the cherries all over the dessert. Serve cold.

Blueberry Dessert

2 packages Cherry Jello (large)

1 can Blueberries in juice

1 can (15 oz.) Crushed pineapple in heavy syrup

1 package Philadelphia Cream Cheese

1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract

½ cup sugar

½ cup chopped pecans

Dissolve Jello in 2 cups boiling water.  Add blueberries and pineapple with juices.  Let set till firm in refrigerator.

Topping:

Mix sour cream, cream cheese, vanilla, sugar and nuts.  Blend.  Cover Jello  with topping when firm and refrigerate until ready to serve.
