What is the primary determinant of one's social experience? According to Afrocentrists and panAfricanism, race is the primary determining social category. Race for Wright and Cone, his mentor, is the primary determinant of social reality for people. In this, he assumes that whites are all "rich people," and that blacks are all victims and never victimizers. He sees nothing about the social structure in terms of class and capitalism. Is his racial identity politics mistaken? Does race determine all things? Would racism go away if class difference was eradicated, say, in a revolution? Just food for thought. What do you think? the most comprehensive, best argued response will get best answer, regardless of viewpoint.

  1. Many blacks absolutely loathe this patronizing and wildly inaccurate POV re blacks and society; blacks have no limits as many have already proven, other than ones they set for themselves or allow others to set for them thus dooming them to think they are not able to achieve or attain any goal they desire.

There are many poor whites and many black millionaires and billionaires so that is also a fallacy. Anyone who wants to can achieve anything they want to if the set a goal and work toward it without making excuses or letting someone else's doomsday talk get in their way.

EDIT: Thank you, that is very kind of you to say, I appreciate that! (0:

  2. I think the priority is "occupation"  (and also some what related to the income received from that occupation.)

Eg: the president of any country , the top men in any huge organizations.

But ones occupation is determined by how he/she managed to get into that position. Therefore, this directly related to his/her race, educational level, net-work, experience, s*x, body size etc.

If an society cannot accept brown, or fat people, or woman as a leader, then, they will only choose what they think is suitable to fill that position.

A respectable people in country A might not be respectable by people from country B.

So, basically, ones  social position is determined by the criteria used by the majority of the people in that specific society.
