What determines the price of a TATTOO?

Is it size or detail? Is there anything else I need to know before i get my tattoo? And is it really as painful as everybody says it is??????????????????????

  1. Good artists charge about $100-$200 an hour. Size, detail, color, and placement all matter. Just make sure you take care of your tattoo. And yes, it can be pretty painful depending on where you get it. Remember to tip your artist too!


  2. It depends on the size and color and some places charge by how long it takes. And the pain, it depends on where you get it I have some on my feet and it hurt but I have one on my back and it didnt hurt at all.

  3. There are a lot of different variables such as place, artist, size, detail, how much time it's going to take if it's a large piece (larger pieces are usually priced by the hour), etc.

    Yes, it's painful, but how painful it is depends on your tolerance for pain and where you're getting the tattoo.
