What determines the size of the feeder breaker when installing a sub-pannel .?

Question

Sub-pannel has 2-15amp,2-20 ,2-120/240 for 2 dryers,1-120/240 for 12ft baseboard heater,1-20amp for 14800BTU ac window unit. Need to know what size of feeder breaker should I install in service cabinet?

I'd go with a 100 amper.You could probably get by with a 50 but you wouldn't be able to run everything at once.

The breaker size is determined by the size panel you are installing.Is it a 50amp,70amp,or 100amp panel?Install a breaker of the same size as the panel you will be installing.Make sure the wire is big enough to handle what ever size breaker you install.If you need more help e-mail [e-mail]
