What device can help an object moving in a constant speed?

Here's the thing.. I doing an experiment that need an object moving in a constant speed, (a=0), what device that can help pull the object moving in a constant speed ?

It would depend on the type and size of the object you are referring to, but in general,  I would think an electric motor would serve as well as anything.
