This is someone I know, not me.

Low self confidence.

Temporary self-harm, not anymore.

Has had auditory hallucinations before, but not for a long time, like months.

Has occasional odd reactions to things(laughs after punching someone in the face. Laughs if close friend has a close call with something, like a crash)

Oversensitivity to criticism.

Expects people to criticize them.

Sometimes violent if angry.

Can't control anger that well but isn't necessarily out of control if angry.

Sometimes paranoid(believes people could be lying about simple things, thinks people aren't as nice as they seem to be. Thinks people talk badly of them)

Dislikes people, doesn't like to be around them.

  1. Depression. That's what I was like until I was diagnosed, put on medicine that saved my life from myself, and started seeing a therapist.

Tell them to see a shrink. It really helped me.

  2. Sounds like me, good thing that he has control of his anger, if he becomes enraged that could become a serious problem that might land him in jail. I don't really laugh when people come to a close call but i don't really care either. I'm not a violent person either but do become easily angered. He sounds like he has mild depression mixed with some sort of anger disorder. Paranoia comes with depression. I can't blame him for disliking people. It's probably people that have caused him to act out like this.

  3. seems like a thought disorder..probably schizophrenia..how old is this person and when did the symptoms begin..was it gradual or is it episodic?

  4. me

  5. Schizophrenic

  6. Could be several things, sounds like schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder.  He needs to see a doctor

  7. It sounds like a personality disorder but we are not Dr's.

  8. Possibly depression and anti-social personality disorder.  I worked in a group home for juveniles with mental illness, and My most educated guess would actually be that these are all attention seeking behaviors.  Auditory Hallucinations generally do not come and go, self harm that starts and ceases quickly and is known by others is generally attention seeking.

He needs to see a counselor to figure out the underlying cause to those behaviors, but if I were you I would quit feeding into his bid for attention and tell him to get help.

  9. Lulz, that sounds a lot like me (except add alcohol to the equation :P).  There's nothing wrong with you/them/whoever you're referring to, well, if they're in denial there's nothing wrong.  They might be a little depressed, though.

  10. Anti social behaviour.

Read some studies about human behaviour, there are only about a dozen different types of human personality, and it's interesting to see where you will fit as well.

    Google human personality traits.
