  1. The question is - do you believe the greeks and their opinion(s) on this matter?

  2. Greece was at it's hight during the Bronze age, I'm not sure they could still be called a civilazition by the time the Iron Age came along.  I could be wrong, but I think the Romans were in charge byt the time the iron age started.

  3. Yeah right ans he should believe FYROMian lies and propoganda? LOL!! The guy is asking for an ANSWER, not a question to his question. And no this isn't the Greeks speaking but actual historical events and scholars from around the world who make it their life work to study this subject matter talking.

ALL ancient civilizations, Greeks, Romans, Vikings, Celts, Babylonians, Egyptians, Aztecs, Saxons, etc., and ones found during the Middle Ages aka Western Europeans who believe no 'witch' could pass over cold iron, all believed Iron came from the heavens ala by the Gods. Because the area in which iron technology first developed was near the Aegean, the technology expanded into both Asia and Europe simultaneously,[John Collis (1989), "The European Iron Age". (Reprint ed. B. T. Batsford, London.)] . The Sea Peoples and the related Philistines are often associated with the introduction of iron technology into Asia, and the Dorians with respect to Greece. The La Tène culture that began in c.450 BC, when the Celts came into contact with Greek and Etruscan civilization, had a distinct artistic style developed, characterized by such devices as s-shapes, spirals, and circular patterns, which show that La Tène artists were influenced by Greek and Etruscan motifs. Read the American Journal of Archaeology, Vol. 66, No. 4 to find out more about this subject matter.

Edit: a slight correction to witchip00 claim that the Romans were in charge by the time the iron age started - that is incorrect. The Iron Age started thousands of hundreds of centuries before the Romans came into existance. ;-)
