What did I cut??

When I was a little kid, and as a result of watching a little too much A-Team, I once stole a pair of wire cutters from my Dad. Then I crawled through the woods in the back yard to a neighbor's. I made my way under a tarp to where he kept his lawn mower, and snipped a wire.

And that spring, I saw my neighbor mowing his lawn. And the cut wire was still dangling off the side.

WHAT DID I CUT?

You might have cut one of the electrical wires which controls the lights on the mower.  The mower would still run but none of the lights would work.
