-What did I miss,RE Crown of Thorns?

I read that he was injured and would be missing the Triple Crown races and this morning I read that he would be racing this Saturday in the Sham Stakes.

That may have been a listing of runners who were pre-entered for the race. The racer is off the Triple Crown trail due to sore shins.

Crown of Thorns has the signs of a stress fracture ( early signs , Thank God!) and is off the Derby Trail.

Crown of Thorns was pointing toward the Sham and had been working out for it and everything.  Maybe the article you read came out before he was injured.  Or maybe it was trying to say what the Sham would have been like if he was in it.  Or it could have just been written by someone who didn't realize that he was injured.  Without seeing the article, I can't really tell.
