What did I see at MIS?

Question

I was camping at MIS and saw these red things in the sky. From far away they looked like balls of fire floating around and then one flew closer down and above our campsite. It looked like a jellyfish with fire on one end. Was it a bag? How does it stay lit? What the h**l was it? Any light you could shed on this would be great.

we american car team owners got together and put all of our email printouts about faking dyno numbers to get nascar to restrict the toyotas and our printouts about framing jgr with the magnets into them big ol' ziplocs, filled 'em with helium, zipped 'em all up, put a gas soaked sock on top, lit 'em up, and let 'em fly. and if you tell anybody else about this i'll deny i ever said it and that it ever happened.

ps. i mean, yeah, you saw aliens testing out their new flaming balloon technology.

the northern lights possibley too ..you were in MI that is far north and ive see the lights as far south as new hampshire.

Probably and Hamlin and Gibbs in the hauler after his comments about his team and Gibbs blew a fuse..lol....i really do not know just being sarcastic..sorry

possibly solar flares, Michigan has been known for seeing them..not sure and have checked everywhere and this is what came up!

maybe a metallic balloon... did they release any balloons from the race that day? i've seen those mylar balloons come back down and i could imagine that if you were camping and there were any fires lit they might have been reflecting. just a thought.

It was NASCAR showing off the new remote control lighting system they installed for Junior's car so he'd win again. Unfortunately one of the lights fell from the sky with about 8 to go causing Jr to smack the wall and lose again. NASCAR plans to use the same device at Bristol
