  1. said the firt time she was proud of this i guess we must kiss obams *** to make points with here / a racist stament .

  2. She said that for the first time in her life she is proud of her country,

  3. She said that only now for the first time she is proud of being an American, but what about all the other goodies she has enjoyed all her life in America, like a free education, freedom to be what she is, freedom to vote for whomever she choosesI mean she doesnt live in a shack and wears no clothes or shoes, does she?

  4. She said that for the first time in her adult life, she is proud of her country.  If she meant it the way it sounded, it's kind of disturbing that she has never found ANYTHING about her country to be proud of.  But I suspect that she didn't mean it the way it sounded.  I suspect she just meant that she is now very proud.

  5. i feel that michele obama is a great person who has been cast into a large arena where people are going to pick at everything she says and does just because she did or said it, but being a person of high intelligence i am sure she could have found a way to phrase this so that everyone would have been satisfied with their self imposed idea of what she should have said, she is supporting her husbands efforts and i commend her, word play is always good exercise for those that have nothing else important

  6. Michelle Obama gave two speeches in Wisconsin where she said that for the first time in her adult life, she was proud of America because her husband's campaign has been so well-received.

  7. She said something to the effect that for the first time in her adult life she is proud of America and McCain's wife jumped all over that and said she's always been proud of America.

So Michele Obama had to go back and say this is the first time politically she is proud of America, that she's has always been a proud American.

Semantics...although I think McCain's going to have some bigger problems with the allegations made today that he was cozy with a lobbyist last campaign and may or may not have been involved romantically with the woman. The GOP made such hay with Bill Clinton, that I think they may be experiencing blowback.

As my mum used to say when you point a finger at someone else , just remember the  others are pointing back at you.

They're getting picaune and petty and making a tempest in a tea pot for all of em. Geez you'd think they were all suffering PES, pre-election syndrome.
