  1. They were shooting each others. And without any doubt osetians were not just peacefull victims.

But that is Saakashvili who has driven tanks and missile artillery to destroy Tskhinvali, and it is he who have chosen to strike at night of olympics opening.

  2. The reasons of this conflict are to be rendered to the U.S.A. and their leadership which attempt in every possible way to struggle Russia by expanding and establishing their NATO alliances and their friendly and faithful leaders (like Saakasvili) in the vicinity of Russia, causing (for the moment) trouble to it, like the South Ossetia issue, and simultaneously accepting on their soil the establishment of U.S.A. missiles targeting Russia.

Georgia, especially under the present regime and government is an instrument for this purpose.

Georgia had the perfect backing by Bush and Co when it first bombed Ossetia, having already invented some "reasons", and at the same time has all the western media on its side, distorting the truth and painting a devil's image for Russia and a martyr's one for Georgia.

Therefore Georgia massacred South Ossetians, provoking thus Russia to intervene to protect them, and open the way for U.S.A. to put their foot there.

The U.S.A. invade other countries for less serious reasons, and they stay there, like in Iraq, while Russia already withdrew its troops from Georgia.

And let's not forget the U.S.A. imperialistic past: The war of Vietnam, the invasion and occupation of Iraq, the creation and support of cruel dictatorships in South - Latin America, the division of Cyprus, and so on, not to mention the most horrible concentration camp in history, Guantanamo.

And it sounds so ironical listening to Bush preaching about "Democracy", "Freedom", "Peace" and "Justice"....

  3. rekon, now thts c**p

u believe everything u see on tv? :) thts so cute really

  4. South Ossetia and Georgia has been in a conflict for awhile. There was a cease fire but was violated when South Ossetia 'supposedly' shelled Georgian civilians and Georgian forces invaded South Ossetia. Russia became involved by sending in their troops to push the Georgians out of South Ossetia.

Russia is tense towards Georgia because of their aspiration in becoming a member of NATO.  There has been tension between Georgia and Russia since the days of the Soviet Union when both Georgia (which was North Ossetia) and S. Ossetia were part of the USSR.  Most of S. Ossetians are of middle eastern blood that came to land in Caucacus during the Mongol Invasion back in 13th Century. Since after the collapse they had a power struggle and armed separatist began to fire upon Georgia.   Georgians don't like having a puppet government (which is unofficially still in control of former Soviet Army/Russian diplomats) and seeked further separation from Russia's clutches by membership of NATO; which Russia refused.  The Georgian claims that S. Ossetia is a criminal regime and shelled S. Ossetia back, leaving that place in ruins. Russia retaliate by claiming the Georgians of genocide.

[Response to "Justfool" (below)] Got it off the wikipedia. Apparently they speak only  truth to be said.  Wikipedia rejects unsubstantiating and inconclusive material.  Blame wikipedia not me; don't spit anything on here that is untrue.   TV, don't even have one; I am not into that mass hysteria of media. Nor use for shows and movies.  All it does is fuel haters and bigots like you who don't keep up on current events, apparently you must be one them according to your response! You were supposed to ask the question, not pay attention to me.  By the way thanks, you're cute yourself, can I date your daughter?
