  1. It started like this... One day a byte was hanging around minding his own business, the all of a sudden, he spotted another byte, she was a pretty little byte and her bit settings were just so!!! They went on a lunch date and over a nibble got to know each other. They became quite close, contiguous in fact and without so much as a half word, presto, as a result a little byte came along. This little byte met other bytes and before you knew it more bytes were produced...

  2. umm... probably something like wiping some ones C drive or somethin. that can be a 2 line virus. very basic.

  3. Elk Cloner was the very first computer virus as we know them today. It was created as a prank. It was written around 1982 by a 15-year-old high school student named Rich Skrenta and it was targeted at Apple II computer systems.

Elk Cloner spread by infecting the Apple II operating system using a technique now known as a "boot sector" virus. If a computer booted from an infected floppy disk, a copy of the virus was placed in the computer's memory. When an uninfected disk was inserted into the computer, Elk Cloner would be copied to the disk, thus allowing it to spread from disk to disk.

An infected computer would display a short poem on every 50th boot. Elk Cloner did not cause deliberate harm, but Apple DOS disks without a standard image had their reserved tracks overwritten. The aforementioned poem follows:

Elk Cloner: The program with a personality

It will get on all your disks

        It will infiltrate your chips

        Yes it's Cloner!

It will stick to you like glue

        It will modify RAM too

        Send in the Cloner!

  4. The first viruses came out in the late 70s. Called the Creeper or the Reaper, I forget. They were'nt originally malicious, but were used more to show the skill of the programmer.  The worst thing they'd do would be to write a silly message on your screen.

A lot different to today but, the guys writing the current viruses are displaying incredible skills and intelligence. Shame it's against people rather than for the people.

  5. i dont know but they are horrible whoever started developing their stealth and making them to corrupt files, hijack applications and steal bank details shopuld be shot

  6. I believe it was first made in Pakistan by engineering under graduates who wanted to protect a software (against copying) they made and distributed on floppies.

    It was called Brain.
